Joining the Blog Action Day

Very recently we have started recycling. I think we
can still recycle more and plan to increase the amount
and things we recycle.

I encourage all my friends, family and any readers to
start recycling. It is becoming easier and easier
every day to recycle paper, cans, bottles, plastic
bags
, etc.

Take a small step today by deciding to recycle at
least one item and gradually plan to increase.

Everyone knows that we need to make this world a
better and more eco-friendly for no one else but
ourselves. Don't think that you doing even small
things will go to waste. Each bit counts, every paper,
bottle, glass, plastic bag everything makes a
difference and will help make this world a better
place for all of us.

Kopra Paak (Cocunut Halwa)

Kopra paak is an indian sweet dish (desert). It is a delicious sweet, actually as a kid it used to be my favorite desert! My mom used to make it for me quite frequently! I wanted to make a sweet dish to send to my dear brothers! So I tried making kopra paak. It turned out great and it was very simple.
10-15 minutes serving size 4
Here is the recipe:
1 cup (dry coconut)
1/2 cup (ricotta cheese) I used part-skim!
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Milk-mava powder or carnation milk powder
2 spoons of ghee
few strands of saffron for color (if you heat for a few seconds in the microwave and then crush its better not necessary)
almond/pistaccios/cashews for garnishing

Now the cooking process is too simple
Take a microwave safe bowl with a lid mix all the ingredients (only 1 tea spoon ghee) (also not the garnishing ingredients ) and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Stir add one more teaspoon of ghee/butter and microwave for 2-3 minutes. If small circles can be formed from the mixture. It is done (make sure you don't overcook it). Repeat heating as necessary.

Now take a pan or anything grease the bottom with ghee or oil and spread the mixture flat you can use a bowl greased at the bottom to press it and make it even. Sprinkle almonds, pistacios, cardomom as desired. Press on it again to make sure it sticks. Leave aside for a little while and you can cut with a pizza cutter or knife to make small squares.

And your sweet dish is ready!

A trip from the Cape cod to Martha's Vineyard

A day full of fun with colleagues! We met early morning and headed straight to cape cod! Once we reached there we met our CEO at his summer house and then we headed to his boat! We went in the boat from Osterville(cape cod) to Vineyard Haven! It was a very enjoyable ride, fast and bumpy! Once we docked there we walked around the town and the light house!  After a nice stroll we were all hungry so we ate at "The Newes from America" It was great food! They even had nice vegetarian options. Now some of us didn't get the message to bring a swim suit! So we went for some shopping and got some souvenior that we put on! After that we headed straight to the ride back to the cape. But it didn't finish there the best part of the trip was still waiting for us! We did tubing! I had never done it before! It was absolutely a very great thrilling experience!

At 30mph on a plastic tube one by one we were hanging on to the boat! It was just absolutely amazing!  The weather was just purrfect throughout the day! And the water was warm!

Mauritius!

We recently got married and went to Mauritius for our honeymoon. I must say its a place everyone must go! The whole country looks picture perfect. The water is amazingly crystal clear. There are lots of different things to do. While we were there, we did water sports such as para-sailing, water ski, under sea walk and more! Just lying on the beach and enjoying the sunset was an amazing view. We spend almost half the time at the hotel Le Meredian Ile Maurice. The people are extremely friendly. They had arranged a candle-light dinner for us by setting up a table on the beach where we could hear the water. It was absolutely an amazing experience. For entertainment every night there was a show they arranged with different types of performances. I travel a good bit and its my most favorite place so far! Very Romantic and fun! MUST GO!

Outdoors in New England!

We had a great trip this weekend at White Mountains! We did lots of different things! The camping and hiking experience was wonderful. It gives you a chance to get away from all worldly worries! And just enjoy the nature! We hardly had any cell phone signal the whole time! We camped at a campground near a river. The sound of the river just made the experience wonderful even while sleeping! Thanks to our friends we had everything needed for a great camping experience:  Tent, Stove, Grill, Wood, Propane, Coal, Lantern, Torch, Lots of food and booz, Sleeping bags and great company!

Keep reading if you want a full day summary!
We hiked in the morning for about 6-7 miles the trails namely: East Side Trail, Lincoln Trail and Frankonia Falls. Then we went to the campsite and pitched the tent! While the guys took care of building a great tent! I made some chai! Followed by amazing corn, burgers, grilled pineapple! After a nice dinner we relaxed on the river.  Then we headed to the near by small town - Lincoln, NH and played some miniature golf there! Followed by some ice cream and booz and a great campfire! After all that we had a great night sleep in our tent on our comfy sleeping bag listening to the sound of flowing water!

So if you haven't been this summer for camping! Head out and enjoy hike and camp in the White Moutains!

A very important lesson learned during this trip:
Make sure you have a camp site reserved! We did experience some trouble in the beginning of the trip!

First Red Sox game at Fenway Park!

It was an Awesome experience! My first Red Sox game! I got only one ticket from work! and decided to go! We left work and headed to the Absolut restaurant/bar owned by Red Sox! The restaurant is actually connected to the Fenway! So from there after a some good food and drinks we headed to the EMC club. We could see the whole ground from above and the EMC club is a nice place! Then as it got closer to the game starting we headed to our seats, which were right behind the batting! and we could see the pitcher right in front of us! I enjoyed the whole game even though I hardly follow baseball! I would go again any day!!! And hope to follow the game more! _
